For nearly 200 years seaside piers have offered the pleasure of walking over the water without getting wet. Former Chairman of the National Piers Society Anthony Wills gives an illustrated history of these coastal icons, from Blackpool to Bournemouth and Clevedon to Cromer, along with a few which haven’t survived
