New Faces at St Mary’s
Hello! My name is Timothy Miller and I will be joining St Mary’s as Assistant Curate following my ordination as deacon on the 28th June at St Paul’s Cathedral. My wife, Meagan Ziegenhagel, is an interior designer who works for a company (ara Design) that specialises in hotel design. Meagan and I are both originally from western Canada. We moved to England six years ago to pursue further education and we have not looked back. We love living in England and have been especially taken with the vast array of pubs, country walks, and the chance to soak in such rich history.
I have spent the better part of the last ten years studying theology, although my past working life is more eclectic. I have worked in chain coffee shops, independent coffee shops, as a cook and convenience store clerk. I have been a weed sprayer, house framer, tree planter, and city repair/upkeep intern. One of my favourite jobs was working at our local ice rink as a janitor and Zamboni driver.
Meagan and I love trying new coffee and craft beer. We are both gaining a deep appreciation for single malt whisky. We enjoy trying new food (especially with wine pairings), going for walks and spending time with family and friends.
We will be moving down at the end of August into a flat at St John’s Wood church; current immigration rules, and flat availability, have dictated this later move in date. I will be in and out of London over the course of the summer, although I will definitely be around the parish from 12th July till the 27th July. I look forward to meeting many of you in July and getting into the full swing of things this Autumn.
Please do pray for us as we finish everything up over the next few months and prepare to move back to London. We are really looking forward to joining the church and being a part of your great community.
