Primrose Hill Lecture Series: David Baddiel in conversation with Neil Mullarkey

  • The Parish Church of St Mary-the-Virgin Elsworthy Road London, England, NW3 3DJ United Kingdom (map)

David Baddiel discusses his recent book The God Desire, which examines why many of us crave religious comfort but don’t believe in God.

David Baddiel, comedian, author and youthful national treasure, is a self-confessed reluctant atheist. In conversation with fellow comedian Neil Mullarkey, he explores devotion, scepticism, and the positive cultural connections provided by religion. Religion gives him comfort… So how does he reconcile his desire for faith with his lack of belief?

The proceeds of this evening’s event will help St. Mary’s continue its social outreach work, including our winter homeless shelter.

Starts at 7pm followed by a live Q&A. Approximate finish time is 8:30pm.
