Church Youth

Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’
Matthew 19.13-14

Children are always warmly welcome at St Mary's. The 9.15 Informal Eucharist - on the second and fourth Sundays of each month - is particularly well attended by young children. Children over the age of 5 are also encouraged to come to our Sunday School during the 10.30 Parish Eucharist, which takes place every Sunday.

Our Sunday School is brimming with fun! We play games, we read the Bible in child friendly language, and we have a wide range of creative activities. It is staffed by experienced adult volunteers, and children rejoin their parents and carers during the Offertory hymn at the 10.30 service. Perhaps you might like to help out at Sunday School? Full training is provided! Contact:

Our young people also go on Sunday afternoon excursions each month. From climbing the steps up to the Golden Gallery of St Paul's Cathedral, to film nights, we're always looking to do more! Contact the Revd Nick Walters for more information, or check Parish notices.
