St Mary's Primrose Hill: Newsletter - Sixth Sunday of Easter
Dear friends of St Mary's,

.As we move into the latter part of the Easter Season, we begin to look towards Ascension Day and the feast of Pentecost ten days later.  Our focus turns to the love of the Trinity and our calling to abide in that love.

This Sunday, the 10th April, is the Sixth Sunday of Easter.

There will be the 8am Holy Communion according to the Book of Common prayer , 9am Jubilate! service and the 10.30am Parish Eucharist with Revd. Matilda Tempest preaching.

The service will be live-streamed on Sunday (and recorded). Links for YouTube videos and Service Sheets can be found on the Online Worship section of our website or simply follow the purple button link below.

Parish Notices

Christian Aid - This Sunday marks the beginning of Christian Aid Week so our collection today will go to them.  This year they focus on the struggles of a family living in Dagoretti in Nairobi to highlight the vital work they do with some of the world poorest communities.  You can read more about their work here: https://caw.christianaid.org.uk/uk/about/what-christian-aid-week/growing-hope-small-city-space

Ascension Day - 14th May: 6.30pm Eucharist at St Marks.  This is a joint service between St Mary’s and St Marks on this important feast. Ascension day, Beating of the Bounds: For those that would like we are meeting at church at 1.30pm to beat the bounds of the parish. You are welcome to join us for part or all of the walk around the perimeter of our parish.

Designer Sale: Summer Edition – Saturday the 16th May, 10 pm until 5pm - Over 60 stalls selling a wonderful range of designer, handcrafted and boutique products. 

Pentecost Picnic - May 24th - Join us after the Eucharist for a Picnic in Primrose Hill after our celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit! 

Corpus Christ Eucharist, Thursday 4th June at 7pm - Come and join us for a celebration of the institution of Holy Communion.  Followed by strawberries and cream.

Dearmer Service and Westminster Abbey visit: On Saturday 30th of May we will be commemorating the life and work of our third vicar, Percy Dearmer, with a pilgrimage to Westminster Abbey and service of Holy Communion in the style of The Parson's Handbook, the liturgical manual he wrote and implemented at St Mary's around the turn of the century. The pilgrimage meets at 11am at the Abbey Shop, and the service will be at 6pm, followed by drinks and nibbles. Please let us know if you'd like to join us on the pilgrimage, or help out at the service!
